Hello!
My name is Aris Spijker, and I am a born and raised Amsterdammer.
I was never much of an athlete as a child and teenager, but around the age of 20 I discovered my passion for sports in Calisthenics, bodyweight strength training.
After graduating as a historian, and spending five years managing in the hospitality industry, I decided to make my hobby, working out outdoors, my job.
Partly because of this, I developed broad interests in people and in the world.
In 2021, I founded my small business, Westerparkfit, out of my belief in all the beautiful aspects of working out outdoors. I felt that more people should experience those beautiful aspects.
In 2022, I began the Milo Performance & Education training program of the Vondelgym to further deepen my knowledge and become an officially certified personal trainer.
From Westerparkfit I now also offer personal training in Amsterdam Zuid and Amsterdam West, so that more people can experience how much freedom and energy outdoor exercise gives.
Besides my work, I have many interests and hobbies such as: traveling, music, philosophy, DJing, and going into nature.

The trainings mainly take place in the Westerpark and the Rembrandtpark, two central, green training places with many possibilities. In consultation we can also look at other parks or outdoor locations in Amsterdam West, so that it remains practical and feasible for you.
Of course! Duo trainings are very popular, and even small groups of up to three people are possible. From four participants, it becomes a private group training. I would be happy to discuss all options and rates with you.
Basically, we always work in blocks of 8 weeks with training schedules based on an intake in which goals, nutrition and lifestyle are discussed. This ensures commitment from both sides and also ensures the best results. Single training sessions are possible but have a higher rate as described above.
At least once a week is a good start to making progress. Twice a week is ideal if you want to see quick results and learn more about movement and technique.
Yes, I took the Milo Personal Training course at Vondelgym, which is affiliated with the European Register of Exercise Professionals (EREPS). So you can be sure that you will receive professional and safe guidance.
